Sintei's Growing Poultry Livelihood
Two weeks ago, Sintei received the first chicks for the poultry business she started through the Women's Resilience Circle. Today they are already growing. As she attended to them, she shared: 'I am truly grateful to be part of the Women Resilience Circle. This group has been a great source of encouragement, support, and growth in my life. Through the sessions, I have gained confidence, learned to face challenges with resilience, and found strength in knowing that I am not walking this journey alone.'
Marima's Story: What Has Changed
Marima still remembers the day we came to visit her. Before we arrived, she woke up at 5:00 in the morning and worked on three different farms. Knowing we would spend the day together, she picked fresh maize and green bell peppers from her garden for us. That afternoon, nothing burned—the tea was made just as intended, with laughter around the fire. Today, Marima runs a milk business she started through WRC and is ensuring her children get the education she was denied.
Vicky's Shoe Business & Journey of Confidence
On the day she was meant to speak, Victoria couldn't. She came in shaking through the session. A few weeks later, she stood in front of the same group and led a morning devotion, saying: 'I know I am not perfect, but when I was called to do this, I said yes. This year, I want to grow.' Today, Vicky continues expanding her shoe business while walking through her restoration journey.
The Retreat We Never Planned
When the first cohort reached the end of the year, the women asked for something we had never planned. They wanted a retreat: time to sit together, look back on the year, and thank God for what He had done in their lives. The retreat became a core part of the Women's Resilience Circle because the women themselves showed us it was needed.
Cohort One Graduation Ceremony, 2025
Our first cohort of eight women completed the programme and graduated together in 2025: a day of gratitude, celebration and family, marking the start of their own alumni circle.
The Day the Mountain Moved
Today at WRC, we disbursed school fees for the 8 mothers in our program. These women, single mothers who do laundry, sell vegetables, clean houses, have been carrying a mountain on their backs. And today, that mountain moved.
